The Library has museum passes available for our students, faculty and staff, alumni, as well as the local community to enjoy. Details and instructions for making a reservation with a museum will be provided to you by the Library after you complete the Library’s reservation form.
NOTE FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS: If you have not borrowed any item University Libraries before, in order to expedite the process, please fill out the University Libraries Community Borrower Registration Form.
Please double check the museum website for availability on the day you plan to visit. Some museums are closed on certain days of the week, and there are scheduled closings for holidays and special events.

Accessing the Museum
University Libraries has a limited number of one-time use vouchers. To access the museum you must:
- Make an advanced reservation for the museum. Go to https://tickets.amnh.org/select and choose the box labeled “Passholders or IDNYC and Corporate Members…” to make a reservation using the library vouchers. At the museum, you will be directed to go to the membership desk to show the reservation and library vouchers to exchange them for museum tickets.
- Submit a request to University Libraries for up to two (2) vouchers.
- Once confirmed, pick up the voucher(s) at your chosen pickup location during open hours. (Please bring your email confirmation when picking up you pass(es).

In 1943, Frank Lloyd Wright was asked by Hilla Rebay, art advisor to Solomon R. Guggenheim, to design a new building to house Guggenheim’s collection of non-objective art. The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation collects, preserves, and interprets modern and contemporary art, and explores ideas across cultures through dynamic curatorial and educational initiatives and collaborations. With architecturally and culturally distinct exhibitions, publications, and digital platforms, the foundation engages both local and global audiences. Founded in 1982, the Intrepid Museum is named after the WWII aircraft carrier Intrepid. Its mission is to promote the awareness and understanding of history, science and service. STEM and history are showcased through technological marvels such as Enterprise, the world’s first space shuttle, and Growler, the only nuclear armed submarine open to the public. The Museum also features military aircrafts including fighter jets, a supersonic spy plane, and the Concorde, the world’s fastest commercial airliner.

Accessing the Museum
University Libraries has one pass that admits 2 adults and 2 children under 18. Allows discounted guest tickets: $18 for adult, $13 for children. A 10% discount on Family Memberships for library patrons.
Your University ID and museum pass are both required for entry. No reservation is necessary. You will check-in at the desk. Any add-ons like 3D films or simulator rides require purchase. Please arrive no later than 3:00 p.m. on weekdays or 4:00 p.m. on weekends. We suggest allowing at least two hours for viewing the museum. To access the museum you must:

Founded in 1975 by William S. Paley, the Paley Center for Media examines the intersections between media and society. It is the leading, nonprofit 501(c)(3) cultural institution whose mission is to preserve our media history and explore media’s powerful shaping influence on our culture and society. At The Paley Center for Media, you have the opportunity to access an international collection of over 160,000 programs covering more than 100 years of television and radio history, including news, public affairs programs and documentaries, performing arts programs, children’s programming, sports, comedy and variety shows, and commercial advertising. Programming from some 70 countries is represented in the collection.

Accessing the Museum
University Libraries has one pass that admits 1 adult and 1 guest. To access the museum you must:
- Submit a request to University Libraries for a pass.
- Once confirmed, pick up the pass at your chosen pickup location during open hours.
- Go to the Paley Center website.
- Select the “Get Tickets” button.
- Select a date and time from the calendar.
- Click the “Have an Access Key?” link.
- Input the Member ID number from your pass and select “Unlock”. (Include all dashes ‘ – ‘ )
- Choose your tickets from the “FREE” options that have appeared on the screen.
- Complete the checkout process.
Remember to bring the pass with you to the Paley Center.
This pass also includes priority reservations for the state-of-the art PaleyGX Studio Gaming & VR experience (there is an additional fee for admission to Paley GX), unlimited access to the Paley Archive library, and early access to exclusive virtual events and premium digital content.
