AI Policies Committee

The AI Policies committee is responsible for identifying and prioritizing institution-wide AI policy needs, benchmarking against peer universities, assessing alignment with existing University policies, and developing a crosswalk that clarifies policy gaps, research intersections, and responsible offices for governance and implementation

The AI Policies committee has developed a draft of MSU Artificial Intelligence (AI) Innovation and Responsible Use Policy in February 2026. It will undergo the necessary stages of institutional review and will be shared with the University community once it’s finalized.
