Beginning in Fall 2021, students majoring in Sociology, Economics and Mathematics can earn a Master’s Degree in Social Research and Analysis with just one additional year of study beyond the undergraduate level. The 5-year combined program is ideal for students that want a Master’s Degree faster and with lower costs.
By joining early, students can take 4 of the required graduate courses in their senior year at the undergraduate tuition rate. These 4 courses alone will also fulfill the requirements for the Graduate Certificate in Data Collection and Management, enabling them to stop then if they choose. Or they can go on and complete the remaining 6 courses to earn the Master of Arts in Social Research and Analysis in just one more year.
Below are the Admission Requirements for the Program:
- Students must have completed 75 undergraduate credits prior to admission
- A minimum of a 3.0 GPA in their undergraduate work
- Two letters of recommendation
- A Statement of Purpose clearly articulating their educational and professional goals
