Campus Tours

Please note:  Tours are posted three weeks in advance, every Tuesday. To check for availability and register for a tour, please click here.

Montclair State University is happy to present campus tours led by our Student Ambassadors. Just sign up for the date and time most convenient for you! Keep in mind that all tours are outside and walking, rain or shine, so dress in comfortable shoes and appropriate attire for the weather on the day you visit.

Tours are very rarely cancelled due to inclement weather. In the unusual event that a tour is cancelled, you will be notified to the e-mail address you used to register for the tour. If you require accommodations due to a disability, please contact us at ambassadors@mail.montclair.edu at least two weeks prior to the tour you would like to attend.

Whether you are new to visiting a college campus or want to just get a final look before you choose to apply or enroll, MSU's Campus Tour is an excellent way to learn about what Montclair has to offer its students.

We offer three types of campus tours throughout the week:

Group Tour

Group Tours consist of 2-10 families and last up to two and a half hours. This tour provides a thorough overview of the University and the resources available to students. Group tours include the viewing of a residence hall room, but do NOT include an Admissions presentation.

Personal Tour

Personal Tours offer a student and their family the opportunity to tour the campus with their own personal Student Ambassador for up to 90 minutes. This is a great way to have an experience that is personalized to your needs and interests. However, we cannot guarantee your Ambassador will have specific information about your major (To visit with a representataive from your major, please call the department to set up a meeting. View our Department Contacts for contact information). Please be aware that these tours do NOT include an Admissions presentation or the viewing of a residence hall room.

Saturday Tour

Saturday Tours are offered on the weekend for your convenience. This tour begins with an Admissions presentation by one of our admissions counselors, which will last about 30 minutes. Following the presentation, our Student Ambassadors will lead families on a campus tour, which may last up to two hours. This tour also includes the viewing of a residence hall room.

Please note: Personal Tours DO NOT include the viewing of a residence hall room. Personal and Group Tours DO NOT include an admissions presentation.
