As of March 16, 2020, all campus tour options have been canceled until further notice. However, we encourage you all to view our Virtual Tour to see all that Montclair State has to offer!
Experience Montclair State firsthand by taking a Student Ambassador-led campus tour.
We conduct tours rain or shine, so dress in comfortable walking shoes and for the weather. Should we cancel a tour for any reason, we’ll send an email to the address you give when you register for your tour.
If you need mobility accommodations – we’re delighted to help. Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org two weeks before your tour.
We’re ready to welcome you to campus. Just choose your tour type, date and time. We post tours every Tuesday, four weeks in advance. While we offer tours on most weekdays and select Saturdays throughout the academic year, we also offer summer group tours on a limited basis.
You’ll get a feel for all we have to offer on our 2½ -hour tour. While this tour includes a visit to a residence hall room, it does not include an Admissions presentation.
Should you have unanswered questions after your tour, an Admissions representative is available to speak with you.
Please note: this Campus Tour is not for school groups, community groups, organizations, etc. If you would like to book a tour for your group, please visit our School and Organization Group Tour webpage.
These tours are the same as our Campus Tour with an Admissions Information Session, only scheduled on Saturdays for the convenience of working families. We offer two kinds of Saturday Tours:
- Saturday Tour with Information Session – Includes an information session given by one of our Admissions Counselors prior to the tour
- Saturday Tour – Includes a tour only, led by one of our Student Ambassadors
Saturday Tours are available September-May.
Saturday Transfer Tour
This Saturday Tour is exclusive to Transfer and Adult Applicants. The day begins with an Admissions presentation and Transfer Q&A by our Assistant Director of Transfer Recruitment, which will last about 45 minutes. Following the presentation, one of our Student Ambassadors will lead families on a Campus Tour, which may last up to two hours.
School and Organization Group Tour
Our School and Organization Group Tours give high school students–from freshmen and sophomores who are just beginning to think about college to juniors and seniors who are making hard decisions about where to apply and where to enroll–a firsthand look at what we are all about.
