Events feature participatory workshops with faculty, performances by our students, career talks, audition/interview-preparation tips, campus tours and more. (Plus all events are free!)

Thank you for your interest in Montclair State’s STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) Day! We are excited to welcome in students that have an interest in technical theatre, along with students who have interests in areas like carpentry, painting, and sewing, who want to investigate what it’s like doing these tasks in a theatrical space!
Students can attend two workshops in the following areas: scenery, props, costumes, lighting, and sound.
The schedule is as follows:
Session One from 10 AM – 11:30 AM
Lunch* from 11:30 AM- 12 PM
Session Two from 12 PM – 1:30 PM

There is NO registration fee with this event, just fill out the registration form linked below! Attendees will be required to fill out Hawk Check the day of event, along with showing proof of vaccination in order to attend. Attendees will be required to wear a mask during the duration of the event.
Come witness the talents of our students by attending a performance or exhibition.
Montclair State University Open houses are a great way to gain an overview of the University and learn about programs in the College of the Arts. Open Houses feature informational sessions on the university – including a campus tour and student-services fair; an overview of the College of the Arts; as well as interactive break-out sessions for our Department of Art and Design, Department of Theatre and Dance, School of Communication and Media and Cali School of Music.

If visiting the university on a week-day, feel free to stop in at the College of the Arts’ Office of Student Services, located in Morehead Hall (open M-F 8:30-4:30), to pick up college information materials or to ask a question.
You may also visit the college’s academic buildings for a self-guided tour or to sit in on a class. (note: Contact the Office of Admissions regarding class visitations.)
