The Department of Art and Design launches the first-ever Art and Design Career Day, April 8th, 2016.

The College of the Arts launches its first ever Art and Design Career Day on Friday, April 8, 2016, as a day devoted to speaker events, workshops, and networking for students preparing for dynamic careers in art and design fields.

From fashion and merchandising, industrial design, to graphic design and more, Art and Design Career Day is designed to give students the opportunity to learn about the diverse and exciting careers in the arts. Featuring workshops on portfolio development, cover letter and resume writing, marketing and branding, and budgeting, industry professionals will share their insights on how to best succeed in the art and design fields.

It’s a unique chance for students to network and learn from accomplished professionals working in the field who are eager to help students as they jumpstart their careers. Featured guests include entrepreneurs and professionals from DKNY Jeans, MIX Lab,  FITZ & CO, Indigogo and many others.

This new Career Day follows the Department of Art and Design’s Art Day on April 1st, which welcomes college-bound high school students to experience the arts, workshops, and info sessions on portfolios, auditions, and college degree programs.
