The Department of Art & Design would like to cordially invite you to join us for an evening celebrating the exceptional work of our senior Product Design students from the class of 2023. This event will showcase their impressive theses, featuring innovative concepts, engaging presentations, and an interactive Q&A session.
For the past 18 years, our Product Design program at Montclair State has been dedicated to preparing students for successful careers in the field. Our graduates have secured employment at more than 80 major companies across the US and internationally, including Movado Group, Under Armour, Nike, Samsonite, Adidas, P9 Design, Cobra-Puma-Golf, Fossil, Reedbuck, Citizen, Victoria’s Secrets Ltd Brand.
Our program boasts a robust curriculum that emphasizes Design Thinking and User-centered Design, and it is highly respected in professional circles. We have established valuable partnerships with IDSA and industry leaders such as Revo, Helen of Troy, Ingersoll Rand, and Movado Group, providing our students with unique opportunities to work with professionals in real-world settings.
In addition to our professional partnerships, we take pride in our students taking part in professional competitions and community-focused projects. Our students recently placed 1st , 2nd , and 3rd place in the National Traffic Safety design competition, placed 2nd in the Under Armour design competition, and placed second at Disney “ImagiNations” design competition. Many of our students are Merit Award Winners of the Industrial Design Society of America.
Students of the Program have contributed to community projects such as designing habitat rooms for the Montclair Animal Shelter, designing outdoor toys for the Montclair Pre-K, and building a playground for the Montclair YMCA.
We look forward to sharing this special occasion with you and showcasing the impressive talent of our senior Product Design students.
