Michele Ansbacher

Michele Ansbacher has recently retired from Prudential Financial. Her role prior to retiring was the Vice President of the Eastern Territory in Agency Distribution, Prudential’s nationwide sales organization. She was responsible for the oversight of 14 agencies in the Eastern U.S. including Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and Eastern Pennsylvania.

Prior to her appointment as Eastern Territorial Vice President, she was vice president, Corporate Compliance and Corporate Chief Ethics Officer at Prudential, where she was responsible for the company’s Global Business Ethics & Integrity program. Previously, Ansbacher was vice president of Field Support, responsible for Agency Distribution’s financial professional programs, including practice building, private office support, field and recognition programs, financial planning and product/manufacturer management. She also served as Agency Distribution’s business ethics officer.

Ansbacher began her Prudential career as a management intern and assumed increasing responsibility leading to various management positions overseeing marketing, strategy development, business transformation and operations. Ansbacher served as vice president and chief quality officer at Prudential Investments.

Ansbacher also served as vice president, Operations and Systems, in the Marketing and Customer Management area where she developed Prudential’s pilot for a multi-product customer center. She later moved into Agency Services, where she managed the successful merger of the two retail sales channels. Ansbacher subsequently served as vice president, Planning and Analysis, for Prudential’s U.S. Consumer Group, responsible for business management and financial planning and forecasting.

Ansbacher holds a B.A. degree in economics and political science from Montclair State University and her M.B.A. degree in finance from New York University. She serves on the board of the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, heading the Strategic Planning Committee. Ansbacher serves on Montclair State University’s Business School Advisory Board and is a member of the Executive Women of New Jersey, serving on its membership committee.
