  • Mark Clatterbuck (Religion), was interviewed by WHYY for a story on the opening of a new Native American Sanctuary in Salem County, New Jersey.
  • Brigid Harrison (Political Science and Law), appeared on WNYC’s “Suds and Civics” series, which uses laundromats across the New York metro area as hubs for civic engagement ahead of the November presidential election.

June is Pride Month

  • Pride month celebrates the importance of acceptance and equality for all members of the LGBTQIA+ community. The LGBTQ center helps make the University an inclusive environment supportive of sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression.
  • Attend the Third Annual Montclair Pride Festival, Saturday, June 8 in downtown Montclair, where the Office for Social Justice and Diversity; the Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies Program; and the President’s Office will be showcasing the University’s academics, student life and LGBTQIA+-focused services and programs.

Modified Summer Work Schedule

  • All professional staff, librarians and CWA personnel who are assigned a 35-hour work week, are eligible to work an extended day/four-day schedule from Monday, June 3 through Friday, August 9. The Summer Work Schedule will not be followed during the holiday weeks which include Juneteenth and Independence Day. All personnel will follow their normal work schedules during the aforementioned holiday weeks.

  • Concerned about a student’s well-being? Please fill out a CARE Report form to connect students to mental health support and resources. Faculty and advisors can complete an alert via Navigate for academic concerns.
  • If you or a loved one is experiencing a mental health crisis or thinking about suicide, call or text 988, the nationwide 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline for free, confidential support, 24/7.

  • To Christopher Parker (Classics and General Humanities), whose poem “Our Vessel” was published in the literary anthology, Tiny Moments: Volume III.
  • To Karen Ramsden (University Communications and Marketing) and Darren Sweeper (University Libraries), who were invited by the Special Libraries Association, an academic global organization, to discuss their book chapter in Rethinking Institutional Repositories for their monthly academic/education webinar series.
