From Community College Roots to Reaching Creative Heights at Montclair
Twin brothers Craig and Brian Scott found their creative home in TV and sports broadcasting after transferring in to complete their degrees.

Bloomfield Campus Athletics to Transition to USCAA Affiliation
Bloomfield’s men’s and women’s basketball, men’s soccer and softball teams will move to the USCAA, which creates national competition for small colleges of similar size to develop the minds, bodies and spirits of student-athletes.

University Announces Tuition and Fees
The Board of Trustees at Montclair State University has set tuition and fee rates for the 2025-2026 academic year, and approved an increase to financial aid to help ensure students will continue to have access to an affordable, excellent education.

University Social Media Engagement and Support Poll
University Communications and Media is collecting feedback to better understand social media engagement and support across the University. This survey is for individuals who oversee or create content for any social media accounts on both Montclair and Bloomfield campuses. Your input will help shape future resources, meetings and strategic planning. The survey should take about five minutes.
University Historic Walking Tour
Learn about the early history of the University on a 40-minute walking tour of the south end of campus on Thursday, August 7, 6-6:50 p.m. The tour will include historic photographs of the oldest campus buildings and examples of memorabilia. We will discuss student life and interactions with the surrounding Montclair community. Archivist Paul Martinez will lead the tour. The tour is approximately half a mile long with a mostly accessible route. There is an approximately 260-foot section which is partially-accessible due to a steep grade. Registration required. Please meet in front of the Kasser Theatre. The tour will be rescheduled in the event of rain.
Homecoming 2025
Homecoming will take place on Friday, September 26 on Bloomfield Campus and Saturday, September 27 on Montclair Campus. Save the dates for a day filled with fun, food, athletics and performances! View the schedule of events and register today!
13th Annual Red Hawk Open
Join us in supporting the 13th Annual Red Hawk Open on Monday, September 29 at Upper Montclair Country Club. The event raises funds for the University’s more than 500 student athletes in our varsity athletic programs.

Fall Tuition Waiver and Reimbursement Deadline
The fall tuition waiver and reimbursement deadline is Friday, August 1. Applications must be submitted to the Division of Human Resources via Workday. Visit the tuition waivers webpage for instructions. Contact hr@montclair.edu with any questions.

- To the office of Civic and Voter Engagement which has been awarded the 2025 Ask Every Student Grant to support campus-wide initiatives aimed at increasing democratic participation. The funding will support voter registration, nonpartisan education and civic learning, while expanding programming, strengthening partnerships and promoting civic responsibility across campus.
- To Roman Liera (Educational Leadership), whose article on faculty of color and their experiences as postdoctoral scholars to prepare for tenure-track positions was published with AERA Open.
- To David Galef (English), who published a satirical column on the restructuring of the humanities and social sciences in Inside Higher Ed.
