Do you have an interest in ancient history, archeology or art? Then the Ancient Mediterranean Civilizations minor may be for you!
The undergraduate minor examines the cultures and societies of the ancient Mediterranean region, broadly including the major cultures of the Near East and Egypt as well as Greece and Rome, with special emphasis on institutions and society. You will learn about the history, culture and daily life of the ancient Mediterranean world as seen through texts and artifacts.
Choose from among a range of courses such as Greek and Roman Civilization, Greek and Roman Art, Classical Archaeology, Cleopatra, Roman Law, and Classicism and American Culture. Or go deeper and dig into Mediterranean Archaeology. See how life in the ancient Mediterranean world is reflected in life there today.
Available to undergraduate students from any major, the Ancient Mediterranean Civilizations minor will open your eyes to the past and broaden your outlook on the present!
