On-Campus Employment

Dress for Success with Rocky’s Closet
Rocky’s Closet is an initiative to provide the campus community with free professional clothing for interviews, internships and jobs. Students are encouraged to “shop” for everything they need to look the part — from blazers, slacks and dress shirts to shoes, ties, belts and more.
Leadership Opportunities on Campus

Student Government Association

Orientation Leader Program

Internships: Turn Experience Into Opportunity
Internships give you the opportunity to apply what you learn in the classroom to real-world settings. Whether you’re looking to fulfill a program requirement or are determined to build real world work experience before you graduate, we offer resources to help you explore career paths, build your resume and prepare you for what comes next.
Internships vs Co–ops vs Micro-Internships vs Volunteering
Internships exist in a variety of forms: some are paid, some are not; some give college credit and some do not. The difference between an internship and other forms of employment is that all internships–no matter what kind–provide career-beginners with a temporary, “test-it-out” career-related experience.
A cooperative education (co-op) is a credit-bearing, faculty and counselor supervised work experience which allows students to see the connection between their studies and the world of work.
Micro-Internships are short-term, paid, professional assignments which allow you to explore career paths, demonstrate skills and build networks. Micro-Internships can take place year-round and typically range from 10 to 40 hours of work. Micro-internships span across departments including sales, marketing, technology, HR and finance.
Volunteer Experience: Generated by employers for neither pay nor credit; volunteer opportunities offer a chance to explore careers.
Look for our Part-Time Job Fair
Each semester, the Part-Time Job Fair brings together on- and off-campus employers in one place. It’s a great opportunity for current students to explore available roles, connect directly with hiring departments and learn more about student employment at Montclair.
