Economics is the study of how societies allocate scarce resources and make decisions that shape our world. At Montclair State University, the Bachelor of Arts in Economics program offers a comprehensive exploration of both macroeconomics and microeconomics, providing students with the tools to analyze economic systems, market behaviors, and policy impacts.
Students engage with topics such as international trade, unemployment, inflation, and the dynamics of monopolies, applying theoretical frameworks to real-world challenges. The curriculum emphasizes analytical thinking, quantitative modeling, and problem-solving techniques, fostering skills in reasoning, decision-making, and policy analysis. These competencies are highly valued across various industries, including business, finance, government, nonprofits, and academia.
Graduates of the program are equipped to think critically and contribute to informed decision-making in a globally connected economy. With a B.A. in Economics from Montclair State University, students are prepared to navigate and influence the complex economic landscapes of today’s world.
The hands-on portfolio management and financial analysis experience I gained through the Red Hawk Investment Fund at the Feliciano School of Business caught the attention of recruiters and helped me secure a pivotal internship.
