The BS in Earth and Environmental Science provides you with a strong scientific foundation to study Earth’s physical systems and understand environmental processes that impact our planet. You’ll explore geology, hydrology, atmospheric science, coastal and ocean science, environmental contamination, pollution, and ecosystems through courses that combine classroom learning with hands-on lab and field experiences.

The program equips you with analytical skills to assess environmental challenges and develop sustainable solutions. You’ll have opportunities for undergraduate research, fieldwork in diverse ecosystems, and practical training with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and environmental monitoring tools.

Graduates are prepared for careers in environmental consulting, resource management, education, or government agencies. The program also lays a strong foundation for advanced studies in earth sciences, environmental policy, or sustainability. Combined degree options, including teacher certification and accelerated master’s programs, allow you to customize your path toward your professional goals.
