Ron Levy, piano, faculty
"A first-class pianist." —New York Times
Barbara Dever, mezzo-soprano, faculty
In a historic Met pairing conducted by James Levine, Dever sang the fortune-teller Ulrica directly opposite Pavarotti’s Riccardo (alongside Deborah Voigt and Juan Pons). Critics noted that her booming, dark low register was the perfect, eerie foil to Pavarotti’s bright, ringingly clear tenor.

Gabriel Anker, violin, guest artist and alumnus
"Anker plays with impressive weight and cohesion." —The Strad Magazine
Joseph Turrin, composer, faculty
“I have always liked composers who are reflecting upon the musical sound of their country. Joseph Turrin does this in a very convincing way. I have taken great delight from getting to know his scores, which I have conducted in New York, in Europe, and Asia.” —Kurt Masur
