Biography
Alker-Kelly Antoine serves Montclair State University with 14 + years as a higher education IT professional dedicated to high impact, quality-driven, student-centered exemplary service. Alker is an accomplished IT Manager, and entrepreneur, with a unique career in interdivisional environments.
Prior to joining MSU, Alker served as the founding Director of Academic Technology at the University of Bridgeport where he was at the helm of technology strategy, policies, and services that supported the University’s mission of teaching, learning, and research.
Through strategic interdivisional leadership, and collaborative efforts, Alker successfully led ATS where he oversaw Instructional Technology Services, Technology Training Services, AV/Media Services, the central IT service desk, and provided exemplary leadership and service to all constituents. While at the University of Bridgeport, Alker also provided leadership in a variety of other capacities including serving as the founding head of Web and Digital Communications and WebMaster.
Alker was also responsible for assisting with institutional research data collection, archiving, and reporting, and provided strategic guidance to the University’s retention steering committee. Before joining UB, Alker served as the WebMaster for Kean University and provided executive leadership in a variety of entrepreneurial ventures outside of academia.
In his current role as Technology Manager, Alker is responsible for the applications used by MSU in support of student success and for reporting and analyzing actionable data that measures the success of programs and Students.
