HR Updates

Tuition Waiver and Reimbursement Deadlines
Applications must be submitted by Thursday, January 1 for the spring semester. Applications must be submitted to the Division of Human Resources through Workday. Performance Management Key Dates and Reminder: AFT Professional Staff
On Wednesday, October 8 and Friday, October 31, new evaluations were launched in Workday for AFT Professional Staff contracts. Please review the upcoming key dates and actions required by viewing the AFT Professional Staff Evaluation and Reappointment Schedule 2025 – 2026.

Final PAR Submissions Due for CWA Employees
On November 3, the Final PAR was launched in Workday for Civil Service employees. If you have a direct report who is CWA, please complete your evaluation as soon as possible. All Final PARs are due by Friday, December 19.

University Libraries New Archival Discovery Platform
Access physical and digital collections from both the Sprague Library and Bloomfield College Library collections, including yearbooks, newspapers and historic collections about the University’s past.

  • To Rachel Mecca (Financial Aid), who presented as a financial aid expert on Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) at the New Jersey Association of Student Financial Aid Administrator’s Fall conference. Her session was entitled “From SAP to Success: A Clear, Student-Centered Approach.”
  • To Salvatore Kallai (Campus Activities), who was recognized by ACUI Region VII as the Outstanding Graduate Student at the 2025 Regional Conference.
  • To Emily Inserra (Campus Activities), who was recognized by ACUI Region VII as the Outstanding New Professional at the 2025 Regional Conference.
  • To Carmen Cusido (Communication and Media), who will serve on one of Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill’s Transition Action Teams. She will be a part of the “Jobs, Opportunity, and Prosperity for All” committee.
  • To Catherine Oliver (University Libraries) who co-wrote the ‘”Because it is Anomalous”: Library Technical Services Assessment Reconsidered’ chapter in Library Technical Services: Future Forward, published by Bloomsbury Publishing. This book takes a look at the future of library technical services post-pandemic and in response to technological disruptions through a diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility lens.
  • To Sara Matsuzaka (Social Work and Child Advocacy), whose proposal, “Risk and Protective Factors Among Substance Use Treatment Populations Seeking Recovery from Alcohol Use Disorder,” has been approved for $6500 in external funding by the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP) Foundation for Recovery Science and Education (FoRSE).
