AFT Professional Staff – Evaluation and Reappointment

Reappointment of AFT bargaining unit members (whether faculty or professional staff) is a contractual right found in Agreement between the State of New Jersey and the Council of New Jersey State College Locals, Article XIII, Appointment and Retention of Employees.  The reappointment schedules and forms have been agreed to locally.

Please note: all dates are “no later than.” For example, for the first step of the One-Year Reappointment for Unit Professional Staff Members in Their First Year of Service, submission of candidate recommendation form to immediate supervisor, must occur no later than Friday, January 11, 2019.

Dates refer to initiation, completion, or submission (as appropriate) and are not subject to change without notification to and approval of the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs. Deadlines that fall on a Saturday or Sunday will be observed on the following business day unless otherwise noted.
