Students

Cooperative Education is a university-wide, work-based learning program that provides students with preparation, counseling, academic projects and the opportunity to reflect on what is learned. These activities will enhance your academic learning, build maturity and develop insight, while preparing you to function effectively in the workplace.

Complete these steps at least one semester BEFORE you want to enroll in a co-op experience!

CART, CHSS & CSAM Students: Please view the Who We Are: Cooperative Education Video, follow the instructions in the video and contact the Director of Career Services in your college or school to make an appointment.

CEHS & SBUS Students: Contact the Director of Career Services in your college or school to schedule an appointment for co-op counseling.

During your appointment, your Director of Career Services will determine your eligibility, review your resume and provide any related forms and academic department information relevant to your co-op participation. Once your resume is approved and uploaded to the co-op database, PlacePro, you will be ready to search for co-op positions.
