Looking to build a foundational knowledge of computational linguistics to explore a new career path? The Graduate Certificate in Computational Linguistics program offers the building blocks essential for entering the interdisciplinary field of computational linguistics. Focusing on the intersection of language technology and computer science — high demand specialties in the tech, research, healthcare, government, and education industries, to name just a few — this certificate program introduces core computational linguistics concepts, algorithms, data structures, and methods applicable to areas such as machine translation, speech recognition, and text-to-speech synthesis.

No degree in computer science or linguistics? No problem. Course requirements for this certificate program are based on academic background and include courses for students with no computer science background and those with no linguistics background. See the curriculum.
