Gain the skills to teach English to learners here at home or abroad through the Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Certificate program. Students in this 18-credit professional certificate program offered by the Linguistics Department will gain a foundational background in the principles of linguistics and language education, along with an understanding of how to apply these principles in the classroom. These experiences culminate in an ESL teaching practicum.
