Public Transit

You don’t need a car to get to this “commuter campus”!

Transit Discounts

  • Full-time students are eligible for a 25% discount on NJ Transit rail, bus, or light rail monthly passes.
  • Faculty and staff are eligible for benefits which allow the use of pre-tax dollars to pay for transit passes and parking.

Buses & Trains on Campus

The campus is served by five bus lines – four from NJ Transit and one from Decamp – and two train stations – Montclair State University and Montclair Heights.

Campus Shuttles

Our campus shuttles are free and open to the public.
Our buses run on low sulfur diesel fuel which reduces the emission of harmful pollutants, such as nitrogen oxide and particulate matter.
