Student Spotlight – Carina Amaral

Math isn’t all about numbers and calculations! In my Creative Thinking Through Math class we learned how to play the game SET in our Set Theory Unit with instructor Rachel Lopez. I’m not particularly great with math, so I was a bit apprehensive when choosing a class to fill my math Gen Ed requirement. I’m really happy I chose this one because I’m learning that math doesn’t always mean doing complicated formulas. And now I can play this fun game on my own!
