Congrats to our students for presenting at the 2025 IEEE ISIA Conference hosted at MSU

Two Montclair State University mathematics students, Preston Pietruszewski and Ryan Avallone, presented their original research at the 2025 IEEE International Workshop on Intelligent Systems and Interdisciplinary Applications (ISIA), held on campus this October. Preston earned third place and a $250 award for his poster, Patterns in a Special Coloring of Pascal’s Triangle, advised by Dr. Aihua Li. Ryan presented his research, Mathematical Model of Vowels in Singing, advised by Dr. Bogdan Nita.

The IEEE workshop, hosted by The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, highlighted innovative student and faculty research spanning mathematics, computer science, and engineering. Congratulations, Preston and Ryan!
