Miscellaneous Fees

Miscellaneous student costs may be incurred by students beyond their tuition charges. These costs include, but are not limited to: health insurance premium, late fees/fines, application fees and other associated charges. These costs are charged according to specialized criteria. Some fees are non-refundable. Some costs can be adjusted based on credits enrolled.

Below are the approved rates as per our Board of Trustees for the current academic year.

One-time Fees

  • New Student Enrollment Fee: $235
  • Transfer Enrollment Fee: $78.00
  • Family Orientation(per Person): $39.00
  • Graduation Fee: $95.00 (A one-time non-refundable fee assessed to degree candidates for administrative costs related to their diploma. This is not related to any Commencement or Convocation ceremony.)

Annual or Per Term Fees

  • International Student Fee: $100 (Per Term)
  • Senior Citizen Learning Program: $40.00 (Per Term)**
  • Student Health Insurance Plan (Based on Full-time Status)
    • Full Year Graduate & Undergraduate (August 15, 2025 – August 14, 2026): $2,940
    • Half Year Graduate & Undergraduate (August 15, 2025 – August 14, 2026): $1,812
  • Study Abroad
    • Study Abroad Program Application Fee: $100**
    • Study Abroad Participation Fee: $300**
    • Study Abroad Program Deposit: $850 – $1000
    • Study Abroad Program Cost Balance: Varies by Program
    • National Student Exchange Fee: $150
  • Visiting Student Processing Fee: $25.00 (Per Term)**

  • Laptop Loan Program Late Return Fee (Per Hour): $15.00**
  • Late Payment Fee (Per Semester): $150
  • Returned Check Fee: $60.00
  • Payment Plan Setup Fee: $30.00
  • Payment Plan Late Fee: $25.00
  • Late Registration Fee (After Add/Drop) – Undergraduate: $100.00
  • ID Card Replacement Fee: $20.00

    • Borrower Services – Outside of Essex and Passaic County: $50
    • Lost Book Fine: $80
