Applications must be submitted by Monday, December 1 for the winter session and by Thursday, January 1 for the spring semester. Performance Management Key Dates and Reminder: AFT Professional Staff
On Wednesday, October 8 and Friday, October 31, new evaluations were launched in Workday for AFT Professional Staff contracts. Please review the upcoming key dates and actions required by viewing the AFT Professional Staff Evaluation and Reappointment Schedule 2025 – 2026.
PARs Training for Civil Service Supervisors
The Learning and Talent Development team will be hosting live sessions for Civil Service Supervisors to review the Performance Assessment Review (PAR) process in full. Register for one of eight sessions.

Graduate School’s Micro-Internship Program
Host a graduate student intern through the Graduate School’s Micro-Internship program. These short-term roles give graduate students hands-on experience, professional development and new networking opportunities while supporting your team. The Graduate School will provide the intern’s compensation up to $5,000 for approved projects submitted by Monday, November 17. Questions? Contact gradstudentservices@montclair.edu.

Students, faculty, staff, and members of the community can Ask a Librarian for research help in a variety of ways:

- In-person or online research appointments
- In-person or via phone (during librarian office hours Monday-Friday, 11a.m.-3 p.m.)
Request a Library Instruction Session for Your Students
If your students are working on research projects in their course (or in your lab), consider requesting a library instruction session. Librarians can teach students information literacy and other research-related skills such as how to efficiently find quality resources. Two weeks advance notice is preferred.

- Brigid Harrison (Political Science) is quoted in The Guardian for an article about the New Jersey governor’s race.
- Yasemin Besen-Cassino (Sociology) is quoted in this Newsweek article about why millions of American employees let their paid time off (PTO) go unused.

- To Arnaud Kurze (Justice Studies), whose policy brief Justice-Ready Digital Public Infrastructure: Building a Third Layer of Trust for Democratic Resilience was published by the Global Governance Institute. The piece explores how digital public infrastructure can strengthen democratic systems by embedding trust, transparency, and accountability into technology governance frameworks.
- To the Transformative Education Network (TEN), recipient of the inaugural NJ School University Partnerships (NJSUP) Exemplary School University Partnership Award, for their work with Orange Public Schools. NJSUP recognizes a partnership that demonstrates the exceptional ability to engage in reflective practices, provide varying opportunities for preservice teachers and displays innovation in the field of education of students PK-16.
- To Daniel Jean (Educational Opportunity and Success Programs), who was awarded the Ansley Abraham Outstanding Alumnus Award from the Southern Regional Educational Board (SREB).
- To Emily Klein (Teaching and Learning) and Monica Taylor (who are featured in the documentary, Wise Women – Humanity’s Untold Origins. The film offers a revelatory look at how the overlooked contributions of wise women shape civilization.
- To Jessica Murphy (Undergraduate Education, Success and Academic Innovation), Danielle Insalaco-Egan (Undergraduate Studies), Nicole DeCapua (Academic Affairs) and Megan Matesic (Research and Evaluation), for their work towards Montclair’s acceptance into the Postsecondary Data Action Network, a national program designed by the Institute for Higher Education Policy and the Association for Institutional Research that will use data to improve undergraduate student success. Montclair’s participation in this year-long learning community will result in a more data-informed culture, particularly around intervention pathways for transfer students and those who change their major.
