Experience Montclair State University firsthand by taking a campus tour led by one of our Student Ambassadors; attend an Undergraduate Open House for freshmen, or transfer and adult students. Tours and Open Houses depart from the Undergraduate Admissions Welcome Center.
Campus Tours are offered most weekdays at and on select Saturdays throughout the academic year.
While nothing replaces an on-campus visit, you can take a virtual tour of our campus online, complete with 360 degree panoramic views, before you ever come to our campus.
Our Undergraduate Open House programs for incoming freshmen are large-scale events (usually around 3,000 visitors) with a wide variety of things to do and people to meet! Faculty representatives are on hand, along with representatives from Financial Aid, Residence Education, Athletics, Greek Life and many more.
Our Graduate Open House is held once a semester in September and February. This event offers a great opportunity for you to meet our faculty and staff! A faculty representative from each of our 85 graduate programs, our graduate admissions staff and representatives from financial aid will be there to answer your questions. In addition we schedule many informative breakout sessions that cater to the needs of students interested in graduate school. Visit the Graduate School website.
Transfer & Adult Student Information Sessions are offered during the Spring semester, and typically attract 100-200 students. Admissions counselors, academic advisors, and financial aid representatives will be available to answer your individual questions about the transfer process. For those age 25 or older who are consider a college experience, either for the first time or after an absence of several years, our staff is available to walk you through the application and enrollment process and alleviate any concerns you may have about returning to the classroom.
Arts Days events feature participatory workshops with College of the Arts faculty, performances by Montclair State students, career discussions, audition/interview preparation advice and more.
