Open Houses:

Experience Montclair State University firsthand by taking a campus tour led by one of our Student Ambassadors; attend an Undergraduate Open House for freshmen, or transfer and adult students. Tours and Open Houses depart from the Undergraduate Admissions Welcome Center.

Campus Tours

Campus Tours are offered most weekdays at and on select Saturdays throughout the academic year. And come see us before you visit us through our Campus Panoramas.

Open Houses

Our Undergraduate Open House programs for incoming freshmen are large-scale events (usually between 2,800 - 3,200 visitors) with a wide variety of things to do and people to meet! Faculty representatives are on hand, along with representatives from Financial Aid, Residence Education, Athletics, Greek Life and many more. 

Graduate Open House

Our Graduate Open House is held once a semester in September and February. This event offers a great opportunity for you to meet our faculty and staff! A faculty representative from each of our 85 graduate programs, our graduate admissions staff and representatives from financial aid will be there to answer your questions. In addition we schedule many informative breakout sessions that cater to the needs of students interested in graduate school. Visit the Graduate School Web site.

Transfer and Adult Students

Undergraduate Open House programs for Transfer and Adult Students are offered during the spring semester and typically attract an audience of 100-200 students.  Admissions counselors, academic advisors and financial aid representatives is available to answer your individual questions about the transfer process. And for to those age 25 or older who are considering a college experience either for the first time or after an absense of several years, our staff is available to walk you through the application and enrollment process and alleviate any concerns you may have about returning to the classroom.

Scholar Days

Montclair State University will be hosting a series of Scholar Days for prospective freshman students who have achieved a high level of success in high school. You’ll have a chance to learn about our competitive Honors Program, meet other high-achieving students and conclude the day with a lunch on the seventh floor of University Hall which overlooks the entire campus and the New York City skyline. Arts days

Arts Days events feature participatory workshops with College of the Arts faculty, performances by Montclair State students, career discussions, audition/interview preparation advice and more.
