If you want to be the kind of educator who transforms classrooms into spaces of inclusion and empowerment, Montclair’s Master of Education in Teaching for Equity and Justice will prepare you to lead with purpose.
This 30-credit program is designed for practicing teachers with a minimum of three years experience who are committed to advancing equity in education. You’ll explore how race, culture, language and identity shape the learning experience, and you’ll develop strategies to create classrooms where all students feel seen, valued and supported.
Coursework examines culturally responsive pedagogy, anti-racist teaching, community engagement and social justice leadership. You’ll learn how to design a curriculum that honors students’ diverse backgrounds while promoting critical thinking and academic excellence. Field-based projects allow you to put these principles into practice and make a direct impact in your school and community.
Guided by faculty who are scholars and advocates for justice in education, you’ll join a community of educators dedicated to meaningful change. The flexible online format makes it possible to earn your degree while continuing your important work in schools.
If you’re ready to deepen your practice and champion equity, Montclair’s MEd in Teaching for Equity and Justice will give you the tools to make lasting change.
