Educational Opportunity Fund Program
The Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Program at Montclair State University supports highly motivated and eligible New Jersey scholars from underrepresented populations and areas by providing academic support and financial assistance.
The EOF community engages scholars in experiences in and out of the classroom to support their success during their college journey and beyond.

- Annual Individual Grants of $1,700 - $1,950
We welcomes motivated students who want to become a part of our community and meet the State of New Jersey eligibility requirements. To be admitted to the program, you must:
- Reside in New Jersey for at least two consecutive years before submitting your admission’s application to the University
- Have received a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate
- Meet the NJ State Higher Education income criteria (see below)
