Work Study

You can earn money by working a part-time job on campus through the Federal Work-Study (FWS) program. This program is funded by the federal government, and whether you qualify is based on the information you submit on your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). 

Quick Facts about Federal Work-Study:

• On-campus jobs are in high demand, so it’s important to apply at the start of the semester. Being offered FWS in your financial aid offer does not guarantee an on-campus job. Work-study positions are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
• You cannot work before classes begin.
• If hired, the money you earn will be paid to you in paychecks from Montclair for the hours you work based on the pay rate of the position.
