Team Biography:
Welcome to The Montclair State Lady Revelers! We are a women’s rugby team composed of total beginners and lifelong athletes. Most of us had never even seen a rugby ball before stepping on the field. We’ve learned, grown, and become an unstoppable team that we now want you to join.
We don’t just play hard, we lift each other up while getting a little muddy in the process. For us, rugby is not just our sport; it’s our outlet, a new challenge, and most of all, a family.
Some of us joined to try something new. Some of us missed being a part of a team. Some of us just wanted a place where we could be strong, loud, and unapologetically ourselves. All of us found that here. Not only do we have that, but now we have a group of amazing people who always have our backs whether it be on or off the field.
No matter if you’ve never seen a rugby game, or maybe you’ve played for years, we have a spot for you on our team. We’ll teach you everything. The rules, the moves, and how to tackle… safely, of course. All you need is a good attitude, a willingness to try, and some running shoes.
