Youth
We are now hosting children’s pool birthday parties at the Student Recreation Center! You bring the food, decorations, and music and we’ll provide 2 lifeguards, the party room, pool toys and 2 staff members to help facilitate pool games! All children must be 5 years or older in order to swim, regardless if they are accompanied by an adult. Children under 5 may attend but are not permitted in the pool area. Children must be toilet trained
How It Works:
Each party is 2 hours long, with 1 hour of pool time, followed by the remaining time in our party room (after changing, typically about 45 minutes).
Our staff meet you up to an hour before the party start time to help move decorations, presents or anything else you want in the party room. Food can be brought in, or delivered to the Student Recreation Center.
Each party starts in the pool area, where our trained staff greet your guests and usher them into the pool area. At your request, our staff will organize activities for the first half-hour, then supervise free time for the last half hour.
Staff helps move guests upstairs to the party room, where you can serve lunch/early dinner, cake or have them help run activities. After the time ends, staff will help you clean up, and assist with packing up the party.
Pricing
- 1 hour of Pool Time, 1 hour of Party Time: $250.00 for up to 30 swimmers
- Additional time is not available for dates in May or June. Additional time may be added for July dates. Please email sperlinga@montclair.edu for requests AFTER the party has been booked.
Available party dates can be found here: Register for Party Dates
All parties are booked on a first come, first serve basis. Once you have booked, a representative will reach out to you regarding your party.
Our program focuses on the strengths and skills needed for swimming, and will help swimmers of all ages develop and refine their skills. Whether you already know how to swim or are just starting out, our classes will help you become a stronger swimmer and develop skills that will last a lifetime. Classes are taught under the watchful eye of our trained instructors, and include lessons on a variety of different strokes and techniques. Our program boasts an excellent instructor to student ratio, with one instructor for every 3 participants for beginner classes, and one instructor to five students at other levels.
How It Works
Our program is divided into classes based on the age of participants, not the ability level. We offer 3 different sections – Ages 5 to 8 years old, Ages 8 – 13 years old, and Adults. Once you register for the appropriate time, our instructors will sort the classes by ability and comfort level, so all of our participants will be working with others at a similar level.
