Trips

Our Outdoor Adventure trips have limited spots available and many trips fill up quickly. If a trip does fill, we will maintain a wait-list for anyone interested. There is no fee for putting your name on the wait-list. Like stand-by for flying, we highly encourage interested individuals to be at the Student Recreation Center prior to the trip departure and we will accept individuals for open spots first in the order of the wait-list, and next in the order of the time they sign in that morning. Payment for the trip occurs only if you get to participate.

All students have an ActiveNet account to register for Campus Recreation Trips/Events. To access your account, use Forgot my password and use your email in the mail.montclair.edu format.

Adirondack Variety Trip

  • Details: In January we will be spending 5 days and 4 nights in Upstate New York. This trip is a winter excursion to the Adirondacks where there will be skiing, hiking, dog sledding and ice climbing in the largest park in the country. Trip includes meals, transportation, lodging, skiing/snowboarding, snowshoe hiking and a trip to Adirondack Wilderness Refuge and Rehab Center. Visit their website for more information
Central Park Trip

  • Details: Come spend the day on a trip through New York City! This trip includes an ice skating rental in Bryant Park, followed by a group walk through Central Park. Along the way, we will tour Grand Central Station, the Explorer’s Club, and the Belvedere Castle!

  • Details: Interested in archery but don’t know where to begin? Look no further than our trip to Targeteers indoor archery range in Saddle Brook, NJ! The session includes all necessary equipment, professional instructors, and two hours of shooting. If you’ve never tried archery before, you don’t know what you’re missing!

Camping Trip

  • Details: Join us for a two-night camping trip to Ricketts Glen State Forest in Pennsylvania. Camping will take place in tents. This trip will also feature a hike that follows a series of waterfalls. We will prepare all meals, including dinner on Friday; breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday; and breakfast on Sunday. We will be departing on Friday, May 15 and returning on Sunday, May 17. Van leaves from and returns to Student Recreation Center
