Students Tour Genewiz

Our visit to Genewiz on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, was awesome! We had the opportunity to hear from wonderful representatives from Genewiz: Aaron White, Human Resources Project Manager; Abby Candelora, Team Lead for Sanger Sequencing; Michele Demko, Team Lead for Next Generation Sequencing, Brian Mitchell, Laboratory Technician II; Jennifer Pestalozzi, Team Lead for Sales Operations; Dr. Minqian Wang, Study Manager for Next Generation Sequencing; and Edward Shepherd, Shift Manager.
Collectively, our students at Montclair State University (MSU) learned how their courses in molecular biology, genetics, and more directly related to industry needs and the practices of genomics. MSU students enjoyed a tour of the facility, a panel discussion, and networking.
