Chris King, assistant professor in the Psychology Department, has co-authored a new book, Evaluating Juvenile Transfer and Disposition: Law, Science, and Practice, published by Routledge as part of the International Perspectives on Forensic Mental Health series.

The book, written with Kirk Heilbrun, David DeMatteo, and Sarah Filone, synthesizes behavioral science, law, and policy scholarship concerning critical aspects of youth justice and rehabilitation.

King’s primary research and clinical interests are adult and juvenile clinical-forensic psychology, correctional psychology, and mental health law. His recent publications include an empirical evaluation of the use of portable technology in correctional settings, and a review of state laws regulating the processing of justice-involved youths.
