Professor Jonathan Greenberg has published Mobituaries: Great Lives Worth Reliving, co-written with Mo Rocca of CBS Sunday Morning.  Launched in tandem with Rocca’s #1-rated podcast, Mobituaries, and published by Simon & Schuster, this collection of essays memorializes an array of people–and things–that deserve to be remembered, offering new insights into their historical and cultural significance, in a style that blends humor and insight.  Subjects range from Thomas Paine to Fanny Brice, from the Black Congressmen of Reconstruction to the Station Wagon of the 1950s and ‘60s. Mobituaries is a thoughtful and unconventional account of the people who made life worth living for the rest of us, one that asks us to think about who gets remembered, and why.

This is the second book Greenberg has published this year.  Last spring his Cambridge Introduction to Satire was published by Cambridge University Press.
