A distinguished panel consisting of panelists Roger Launius (former NASA historian) and Jessica Brandt (Montclair State University) as well as moderator Leslie Wilson (Montclair State University) reveals how the military rivalry between the two Cold War superpowers, the U.S. and the Soviet Union, led to a scientific and technological competition to achieve supremacy in space.
