Biology MS student Melissa Spigelman awarded Café Bustelo® Scholarship
The award is given to hispanic students attending Hispanic Serving Institutions that want to impact their communities with the degrees they are pursuing

Melissa was awarded the Café Bustelo® El Café Del Futuro Scholarship for the 2023-2024 academic year. Of the 25 students selected from across the country from 360 eligible institutions, she is the only student from New Jersey!
Melissa also recently found out she was selected to join this year’s group of students going to study in Japan this summer through the IRES Summer Research Program. The program will take place over 9 weeks providing students the opportunity to engage in scientific collaboration with biological researchers from the top institutes in Japan.
