Green Teams receive $2.6M in NSF grants to improve STEM literacy and success in STEM career paths for non-STEM majors and Hispanic students

Junior biology major Hassan Kashif and freshman mathematics major Zaki Tahir created Dr. Floss, a one-time-use, eco-friendly device that enables buyers to floss all of their teeth simultaneously.

Teams of Montclair State students won first and second place at the sySTEMic Challenge 2020. The competition was open to teams from all ten institutions in Garden State LSAMP.

The project earned the award in the Internet of Things (IoT) category.

Alorah Bliese, a Marine Biology and Coastal Sciences MS student, won the award at the 6th International Jellyfish Conference in South Africa.

Wendy Ramos and Enock Arthur awarded by the American Chemical Society Scholars Program.

The project is being recognized as the 2019 Student/Student Team Award in Higher Education.

Kimberly Fabijanczuk, a graduating Biochemistry major, will be our student speaker, and Joseph Fiordaliso ’67 will be our distinguished alumni at this year’s ceremony.

Ms. Hinson was named this year’s Outstanding Professional Achievement in Student Affairs/Higher Education Counseling

Dr. Yang Deng received the award for his project studying emergency water treatment with ferrate(VI) in response to natural disasters.
