First Annual Cali Stringfest-How to Succeed at Auditions
Join us on the beautiful campus of Montclair State University for an afternoon of discussion and instruction on how to succeed at auditions. Open to high school string students, participants will have the opportunity to work with Montclair faculty in individual lessons and an open studio class. The students will also perform in a mock audition, from which written feedback and a video-recording will be provided.
Participants are expected to come prepared with a solo selection or two. We suggest a movement of a concerto or solo Bach, or both. Piano accompaniment is not required nor provided. However, students may arrange their own accompanist for the recorded mock audition if they wish.
