Introducing Fall Break

For the first time ever, the University will have a Fall Break during the week of October 20. Just like Spring Break, there will be no classes, giving you the perfect opportunity to recharge and gear up for the second half of the semester. Most offices will remain open, though hours may vary that week and we’ll share those details with you as soon as they’re available.

Instagram Wall in the Student Center!

Looking for your next selfie spot? Check out the fun new photo wall in the Montclair campus, Student Center, Annex near the SGA Offices! Just head through the doors across from University Hall and take the stairs down. Snap a pic and tag @montclair_studentcenter for a potential repost.

College of Communication & Media

We introduced this exciting update last year, but ICYMI – the School of Communications and Media is now officially the College of Communication and Media! With greater visibility, leadership opportunities and campus collaboration, this move strengthens its national profile and supports continued growth, while reinforcing the College of the Arts’ reputation for excellence and innovation.

New Red Hawk Dollar Locations

Did you know you can use your Red Hawk Dollars off campus at select locations?! This semester, we are pleased to announce two new locations that will accept!

  • Jinya Ramen Bar
  • Empanda Spanish Grill

Department Name Changes!

A few departments got updates to their names this summer:

The Center for Student Involvement (CSI) and the Center for Student Leadership and Engagement have transformed into Campus Activities, bringing a fresh name, renewed energy, and even more ways to connect and celebrate campus life. Visit us on the Montclair campus, Student Center, Annex, Suite 104 or the Bloomfield campus, Talbot Hall, right behind Deacon’s Den, for endless opportunities to make your college experience unforgettable!

The Disability Resource Center (DRC) is now going by Disability Services and will continue to provide all of the same support!

ReBL – Reciprocal Borrowing

The Library is pleased to announce that you can now borrow physical items, such as books and media, across 24 public and academic libraries in the state! Simply go to either the Montclair campus or Bloomfield campus library to have a sticker added to your card, allowing you to borrow at participating libraries. View the List!
