Heads Up! Your 1098-T is Coming Soon

It is almost time for the University to issue your annual 1098-T tuition statement for tax purposes. This form shows the amount you were billed for qualified tuition during the year and is often used when you or your family file taxes.

Montclair State University has partnered with ECSI, offering you the opportunity to receive your 1098-T electronically, but you need to give consent and follow the steps below by January 1, 2026. If you do not select electronic delivery, the form will be mailed to the home address you have on file in NEST.

Get Your 1098-T Electronically!

1. Visit the ECSI Website
2. At the top right of the page click “Register” to create a profile or “Sign In” if you already have a profile.
3. Once logged into your account, navigate to “Your Communication Center” at the top.
4. Select “Tax Statement eConsent.”
5. At the bottom of the page click “Add New Consent.”
6. Once clicked, the Electronic Consent Application will open below.
7. Complete the Electronic Consent Application.
8. Check the box and click “Submit & Accept.”
