HLTH 213: Perspectives on Drugs
Provides for the study of licit as well as illicit drug use in contemporary society from the perspective of selected biomedical and psychosocial disciplines. Examines the effects of drugs on the individual and society in the context of changing social conditions and technological developments. Analyzes complex nature of the drug problem and rehabilitative and preventive measures and tentative solutions to this important aspect of human existence. Meets the 1983 General Education Requirement (GER) - Contemporary Issues. 3 hours lecture.
