Health and Nutrition Sciences

There has never been a more important time to launch a career in public health or nutrition and food science.

Have you thought about how you will help to make a better, healthier world?

Although students within the Department of Health and Nutrition Sciences have varying career goals, they generally have a common interest in the health and wellness of individuals and communities.  Many also share a passionate commitment to social justice and the elimination of health disparities.  Our academic programs, both graduate and undergraduate, emphasize applied experience, and, in addition to a solid foundation of classroom and lab study, offer students numerous opportunities for hands-on fieldwork and internships.  Graduates are prepared for a variety of careers within the vast fields of public health and nutrition.
