NSF-Funded Doctoral Research Assistant in Mathematics Education

The Mathematics Education faculty within the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Montclair State University are pleased to offer a National Science Foundation Doctoral Research Assistantship that supports full-time studies in the Ph.D. program in Mathematics Education.

  • The Assistantship provides full tuition and a stipend of $20,000 per year, renewable for up to four years. As they work toward a doctoral degree, NSF Doctoral Research Assistants work with faculty and peers to gain valuable experiences working on almost every aspect of an NSF-funded project.
  • The Assistantships will be awarded on a competitive basis. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate both a strong potential for scholarly work in mathematics education and a passion for mathematics teaching and learning.
