Moving Forward with New Jersey HIB/Bullying Initiatives: Various Settings, Unique Challenges

This educational program will address bullying in various settings, including K-12 schools, colleges and universities, and non-educational workplace settings. Presentations will feature Montclair State University faculty members, school counselors and administrators, and college student affairs personnel.
Featured presentation topics will include:
- Marginalized students: The “Different Student” and How to Help
- Cyberbullying Issues
- Family Dynamics and the Plight of the Bully-Victim
- Self-esteem and empowerment for targets/victims
- Adult Workplace Bullying
- The bullying team – Support and procedures
- College and university initiates for safe campus and support staff
- Compassion and strength: Protecting LGBT-identified students in campus settings
- K-12 schools and Safety Efforts – Keeping it Safe, Keeping it Civil
Who Should Attend: Teachers, School Counselors, College Student Affairs Professionals, Social Workers, SACs, School Psychologists, School Administrators, and Members of School Bullying Teams
Check in and continental breakfast will take place from 8:00 - 9:00am, with the conference program beginning promptly at 9:00am.
Fee Schedule:
- Montclair State University students - $40 (must include copy of ID card when mailing registration fee)
- Professional from an MSUNER school district -$70
- Professional or student from another institution - $85
