The Feliciano Center for Entrepreneurship and The Creative Research Center proudly present a new course, ENTR 290-01 “The Entrepreneurial Imagination,” offered fall 2014, Tuesday and Thursday, 10:00-11:15 a.m., University Hall 2032.

Developed and taught by critically-acclaimed author and College of the Arts’ professor, Dr. Neil Baldwin, this new course offers a unique opportunity for you to explore and exploit your entrepreneurial capacities through teamwork and creative expression.  After investigating the very best examples of American imagination and entrepreneurship in small groups, you will prepare a personal plan for realizing your own innovative dreams and aspirations. Touring our rich history and landscape of “imaginers” will empower you to see the possibilities in yourself for creating a new product, starting a business or organization or finding solutions for social or environmental problems.

The course is listed as ENTR 290, and requires departmental approval.  The course is open to undergrads and graduate students of any school, any major.

Contact Sharon Waters at sharon.waters@montclair.edu or 973-655-6803 to receive departmental approval to enroll, or if you have any questions.

The Creative Research Center(CRC) www.montclair.edu/creativeresearch launched in 2010, is a born-digital, open-source, collaborative Web space created to stimulate, reinvigorate, promote and publicize “very large-scale conversations.” The CRC is housed in the College of the Arts; however, its mission is to inspire discussion of the imagination and creativity across all fields of knowledge.

The Mimi and Edwin Feliciano Center for Entrepreneurship, housed within the Montclair State University School of Business, was opened in January 2013 to promote and support innovation and new venture development among all university students and faculty, as well as community and regional entrepreneurs.  The Center offers cross-disciplinary courses and a certificate program, and sponsors speakers, meet-ups and other events to bring together experienced and aspiring dreamers, doers and disrupters.
