Seven of the 11 College of the Arts' students who received Cento Amici scholarships this year attended the organization's 27th Annual Spring Scholarship Recipient Dinner April 13. They are pictured with Cento Amici member Col. Jack Jacobs (middle, front row); College of the Arts' Assistant Dean Linda Davidson (right, middle row); Assoc. Television and Digital Media Prof. Marc Rosenweig (left, middle row); and, in the back row, MSU Development Officer David Graham (left); and Cento Amici President Robert Zito (right).

Thanks to the generosity of Cento Amici (100 Friends), a member organization dedicated to providing need-based scholarships to students in New Jersey, 11 College of the Arts’ students were awarded scholarships, seven of whom were hosted at Cento Amici’s 27th Annual Spring Scholarship Recipient Dinner on April 13 at Alfie’s Ristorante Italiano, in Warren.

Robert Zito, president of Cento Amici, welcomed the organization’s members and their guests, as well as the student scholarship recipients from five academic institutions including Montclair State University’s College of the Arts. Special guest for the evening, Cento Amici member, and Medal of Honor recipient, Col. Jack Jacobs gave an inspirational talk and awarded an autographed copy of his book If Not Now, When? to the attending students.

“This event is always a highlight of the year for our members,” said Robert Zito, the founding president of Cento Amici. “The opportunity to meet the students, who are selected by their schools to receive our scholarships, is a great reminder of why we work to support funding these scholarships.  They are truly tomorrow’s leaders.”
