- The Assistantship provides full tuition and a stipend of $20,000 per year, renewable for up to four years. As they work toward a doctoral degree, NSF Doctoral Research Assistants work with faculty and peers to gain valuable experiences working on almost every aspect of an NSF-funded project.
- The Assistantships will be awarded on a competitive basis. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate both a strong potential for scholarly work in mathematics education and a passion for mathematics teaching and learning.
